El evento denominado LANGUAGE PEDAGOGY: NEW HORIZONS AND PERSPECTIVES IN LANGUAGE PEDAGOGY es un evento académico organizado por el profesor Diego F. Ubaque, docente adscrito a la Licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras con Énfasis en inglés (LLEI), de la Facultad de Ciencias y Educación, y en el cual se comparten los resultados del proyecto - Language pedagogy and teacher identity. Learning from narratives told by Colombian Teachers of English. Pedagogía en Lengua e identidad docente. Aprendiendo de narraciones contadas por profesores de inglés colombianos-.

Este evento académico contará con la participación del doctor Carlo Granados Beltrán. El profesor Carlo tiene un EdD de la Universidad Santo Tomás, una Maestría en Estudios Culturales Británicos y ELT de la Universidad de Warwick y una Maestría en Lingüística Aplicada a TEFL de la Universidad Distrital. Es director académico de la Licenciatura en Educación Bilingüe de ÚNICA. Ha sido docente del Departamento de Idiomas de la Universidad Central, de los programas de Licenciatura en Español e Idiomas y de Español e Inglés en la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional y de la Licenciatura en Lenguas Modernas en la Universidad Javeriana. Además, es profesor invitado de la Maestría en Enseñanza de Idiomas de la UPTC; director académico de la Institución Universitaria Colombo Americana – ÚNICA.

Así mismo, el profesor Diego F. Ubaque participará compartiendo su experiencia investigativa en la cual se propone una problematización de las nociones de pedagogía en lengua e identidad en contextos educativos donde las historias coloniales e imperiales, en relación a la enseñanza del inglés, han estado presentes.

Su participación busca mostrar los resultados de un proceso investigativo que proporcione entendimientos locales con respecto a la pedagogía de la enseñanza del idioma inglés y las identidades profesionales de docentes de lengua en el campo ELT. Este evento también contará con la participación de los estudiantes-investigadores Daniel Aponte y Karen Camargo de la Licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras con Énfasis en inglés (LLEI) pertenecientes al semillero de investigación Internautas, adscrito al grupo de investigación Intertexto, quienes compartirán una experiencia de formación en investigación.

The event LANGUAGE PEDAGOGY: NEW HORIZONS AND PERSPECTIVES IN LANGUAGE PEDAGOGY is an academic event organized by Professor Diego F. This academic event will host Doctor Carlo Granados Beltrán.  Carlo holds an EdD from Universidad Santo Tomás, an MA in British Cultural Studies and ELT from the University of Warwick, and an MA in Applied Linguistics to TEFL from Universidad Distrital. He is the Academic Director at the BA in Bilingual Education at ÚNICA, and has been a teacher of the Language Department at Universidad Central, the BA programs in Spanish and Languages and Spanish and English at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, and the BA in Modern Languages at Universidad Javeriana. Also, he is a guest lecturer for the MA in Language Teaching at UPTC. Likewise, Professor Diego F. Ubaque will participate by sharing his research experience. He proposes a problematization of language pedagogy and identity notions in educational contexts where colonial and imperial stories concerning the teaching of English have been present. His participation seeks to show the results of a research process that provides local understandings regarding the pedagogy of English language teaching and the professional identities of language teachers in the ELT field. This event will also feature student-researchers Daniel Aponte and Karen Camargo from the Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages ​​with Emphasis in English (LLEI) belonging to the Internautas research group, attached to the Intertexto research group, who will share a research experience.
